Info - show

ScienceDirect AI is an Artificial Intelligence system developed to provide reliable information from the scientific literature. The reliability of SD AI is based on the extensive database from which it draws information, as well as on its ability to minimize the likelihood of inaccurate information (hallucinations) by combining multiple Large Language Models. With SD AI, the academic and research community will be able to explore, compare, and highlight information from the full texts of 23 million peer-reviewed scientific publications and book chapters, with content being regularly enriched and updated. As a result, SD AI will offer validated scientific information while simultaneously providing significant time savings to the Greek academic and research community. Some of the features that distinguish SD AI from all existing Artificial Intelligence systems include the following:

    • Submission of queries in natural language for retrieving the desired information
    • Concise answers generated by SD AI, which include in-text references, link directly to the source content, and are integrated with the Mendeley reference management platform
    • Ability to summarize, analyze, and answer questions related to individual articles
    • Ability to ask follow-up questions, enabling dynamic interaction with SD AI and giving it a conversational character
    • Ability to compare experiments within the same publication as well as across different publications
    • Ability to summarize objectives, materials, methods, and results across publications
