[+] Wi-fi network in the Library buildings
A local Wireless Broadband Network which provides all members of the academic community, also visitors, with wireless access to the University Network and the Internet, is available within the Central Library of Rethymno and the Library Branch of Knossos (Heraklio)
The Wi-Fi network is based on 802.11b/g protocol (54 Mbps / 2.4GHz), and it covers all the Library building.
To access the wireless network you need:
- A laptop equipped with a 802.11b/g adapter
- Username and password for the University of Crete Directory Service
- Activation of the service through the address http://helpdesk.ucnet.uoc.gr/home/wirelessWiz.php
- To establish a VPN connection in the computer that has wireless access capability.
