Working with leading publishers, SCOAP3 has converted key journals in the field of High-Energy Physics to Open Access at no cost for authors. SCOAP3 centrally pays publishers for costs involved in providing Open Access, publishers in turn reduce subscription fees to all their customers, who can re-direct these funds to contribute to SCOAP3. Each country contributes in a way commensurate to its scientific output in the field. In addition, existing Open Access journals are also centrally supported, removing any existing financial barrier for authors. SCOAP3 journals are open for any scientist to publish in without any financial barriers. Copyright stays with authors, and a permissive CC-BY license allow text- and data-mining. SCOAP3 addresses Open Access mandates at no burden for authors. All articles appear in the SCOAP33 repository for further distribution, as well as being Open Access on publishers’ websites.   The SCOAP3 model is based on a lightweight central administration which arranges payment of Article Processing Charges at a competitive level, through funds made available from a redirection of former subscription money. Participating libraries redirect the money previously used for subscribing to the SCOAP3 journals into a common fund, from which the publication costs are paid. This redirection is possible as all publishers are reducing or eliminating subscription costs to the SCOAP3 journals and credit all their clients respectively. The total amount contributed by each country is commensurate with its share in the worldwide scientific output in High-Energy Physics. In this process, HEAL-Link participates in international initiatives, evaluates the developments and weighs them, taking into account the benefit for the Greek scientific community. HEAL-Link's Declaration on Open Access in Greece expresses its concerns about the inadequacy of the current scientific publication model and explicitly states the direct initiatives that it undertakes. The Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs, through Minister Kostas Gavroglou, supports the "Declaration on Open Access in Greece". The Minister's assent to the text of the Declaration was expressed after a meeting with the Chairperson of HEAL-Link, Professor Theodora Ioannidou, on the 31st of May 2018, at the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs. The European single market is based on four freedoms: the free movement of people, goods, services and capital between 27 EU countries. Feel free to express your ideas on how the single market works for you in this creative competition! Whoever you are and whatever you do, if you were born in 1992 and are an EU citizen, we want to hear from YOU. Use your talent and imagination to help build a better Europe for all of us. We are listening to you, Generation 1992! Surprise us. Inform and inspire us. Tell us your thoughts. Your opinion counts. Sounds good, but what if I’m not a pro? All you need is the desire to express your views on what the European single market means to you… and an idea of how you want to tell us what you think. If you have something you want to say about the European single market, pick up your pen, paintbrush, camera, computer, tablet or mobile phone… and let your creativity flow! You can choose between different themes and formats. Remember, it’s the story that counts. A photograph can say as much as a lengthy article. A simple cartoon can animate and encourage reflection on complex issues. A short essay can clearly explain a vision without complex technical or political terminology. A striking video can be made with a basic camera and a large dose of imagination. An easy-to-use app can put your vision at the fingertips of millions, whilst a basic app could make life on the move easier for millions of people. This competition applauds and rewards creativity. You don’t have to be an expert photographer or filmmaker with state-of-the-art equipment. You don’t need a degree in literature or political science. You don’t need to be a telecom genius or have a PhD in building apps. Want to enter?
