[+] Heal-Link: Declaration on Open Access in Greece

HEAL-Link (Hellenic Academic Libraries Link - www.heal-link.gr), in the framework of its activity to strengthen Open Access in Greece, explores systematically the ways and means for the transition to a new scientific publication landscape, which will be sustainable and beneficial to the public academic and research institutions. In this process, HEAL-Link participates in international initiatives, evaluates the developments and weighs them, taking into account the benefit for the Greek scientific community.
HEAL-Link's Declaration on Open Access in Greece expresses its concerns about the inadequacy of the current scientific publication model and explicitly states the direct initiatives that it undertakes.
The Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs, through Minister Kostas Gavroglou, supports the "Declaration on Open Access in Greece". The Minister's assent to the text of the Declaration was expressed after a meeting with the Chairperson of HEAL-Link, Professor Theodora Ioannidou, on the 31st of May 2018, at the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs.

The Declaration text is here.

[+] Information about Heal-Link subscriptions

We are pleased to announce that the integration of HEAL-Link subscriptions to HEAL-Link's unified search engine has been completed. Now it hosts e-journals' archives, MARC Records of e-books as well as all current e-journals subscriptions. We also would like to emphasize that the update of the embedded content will be continuous and frequent, at least once a month.

The search is performed at article level to e-journals and at record level to e-books. At the same time, it is possible to limit the results through multiple metadata filters.

We remind you that access is allowed through the registered IP addresses of each institution as well as through the user accounts (shibboleth) and that the terms of the contracts apply for the use of the content.
