The Dilos Program (1999 -2001) was funded by the EU and its 5th IST (Information Societies Technologies)Program.

Its purpose was to allow research in the field of Digital Libraries (DL). Therefore an international network of researchers and scientists was created, contributing in the exchange of knowledge and technologies.
